BIODEX Holds Annual “Summer Event”

Each year Biodex treats their employees and their immediate families to a “Summer Event” at the Country Fair Entertainment Park in Coram. This year’s event was held on Saturday, June 15, 2013. After days of nothing but rain, we had a beautiful day on Saturday to all come together with our families and have fun. Everyone got to enjoy all the activities at the park for free, plus enjoy a yummy barbeque lunch, and an awesome ice cream sundae bar for dessert.

Employees had the chance to show off their families, and spend some quality time with them. Co-workers had an opportunity to relax and enjoy each other’s company for the day. And kids and adults alike just enjoyed some good ole fun and laughs with each other! >>

Biodex Employees Raise $6K for American Cancer Society

Biodex Medical Systems, Inc. once again sponsored the Center Moriches Relay for Life Event.
For the fourth year in a row,15 employees volunteered to work as a team and participate in raising funds for this life altering and lifesaving event!

Together with the support of all our fellow Biodex employees, we were able to raise $6,000 to benefit the American Cancer Society. During the last four months we conducted numerous fundraising events to make it fun, as well as profitable for everyone. We sold candy and muffins to our co-workers, raffled off a Shamrock Lottery Tree for St. Patrick’s Day, sold Cancer Awareness Bracelets, held a Mother’s Day Basket Raffle, held fundraisers at Wendy’s and Friendly’s restaurants, sold backpacks that were donated to us, held a Country Western BBQ at lunch time for everyone’s enjoyment, and our most popular fundraiser - our Annual Chinese Auction! >>

Relay for Life 2012

Biodex Employees Raise $8K for American Cancer Society

Relay for Life 2012 For the third year in a row, Biodex Medical Systems, Inc. has participated in the Center Moriches Relay for Life, the fund-raising arm for the American Cancer Society. Relay for Life is a life-changing event that helps communities across the globe celebrate the lives of people who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against the disease.

This year there were 26 people representing Biodex, including employees and family members alike. Team members raised a total of $8,000.00 for the American Cancer Society with activities including a Chinese Auction, BBQ lunch, raffles and bake sales prior to the Relay. At the Relay itself we sold popcorn and had a bounce house donated for all the kids to enjoy. >>

Camp Pa-Qua-Tuck 2012

On June 13^th five of our employees volunteered at Camp Pa-Qua-Tuck. Despite the rain, they worked tediously without complaining. Their task at hand was to create a Memorial Garden in honor of those children who went to camp and have since passed on. >>

American Cancer Society

The BioSteppers, are a team of employees that participated in the Center Moriches Relay for Life for the American Cancer Society. Team members took turns walking for 12 hours, noon to midnight, in an effort to raise money and promote cancer awareness at Center Moriches High School. Last year in 2010, we raised in excess of $4,300.00 and for 2011, we raised over $10,000! For more information, please click here.
