Shirley, NY, September 10, 2012—It’s not surprising that the International Olympic Committee would invite George J. Davies, DPT, MEd, PT, SCS, ATC, CSCS, FAPTA, Professor of Physical Therapy from Armstrong Atlantic State University in Savannah, GA, to present on Application of Isokinetic Testing and Rehabilitation in workshops at the 2012 Summer Olympic Games.
A pioneer in Isokinetic testing and rehabilitation, Davies wrote the first book on isokinetics in 1984, A Compendium of Isokinetics in Clinical Usage, and has been using isokinetics for testing and rehabilitation of patients/athletes for almost 40 years. He has also presented and published many abstracts, articles, and book chapters that have used isokinetics in testing, rehabilitation or training techniques.
Davies presented in the two workshops focused on Application of Isokinetic Testing and Rehabilitation (one workshop focused on the Shoulder Complex and the other on the Knee, using an Integrated OKC and CKC Approach).
The presentations were followed by a practical demonstration and hands-on workshop featuring the pioneer in isokentic testing and rehab technology, the Biodex Multi-Joint System 4. >>
