“At our Clifton Street Practice at Rehab Associates, we offer the Biodex for patients in Post-Surgical Phase or other types of injuries. It is used for regaining range of motion with the CPM mode (continuous passive motion). The patient is able to be progressed on the machine to regain ROM . It is also used to measure and regain strength. The physical therapist has the ability to place the patient or athlete on the machine and test their strength of the extremity that is receiving physical therapy treatment and compare it to the uninvolved side. This allows the physical therapist to modify the strength program accordingly.” |
