Effect of Lower Limb Strength on Falls and Balance of the Elderly

Looking for a study that supports the correlation between balance testing and falls? This study demonstrates that poor leg strength and poor balance correlate to falls in persons age 65 and above. Balance was measured using the stability index of the Biodex Balance System SD following the Fall Risk Test protocol. The differences between “Fallers” and “Non Fallers” were compared and the correlation between lower limb strength and balance were analyzed. The answer is in the test results. Read more. >>
